Luton Club issued a message to commemorate the former player Johnny Wilstrup.

Johnny Wilstrup was born on February 27, 1967 and died young at the age of 58 due to short-term illness. In his player age, he was known as Denmark's strongest gunner, who joined Luton in the turbulent years of Terry Westley's coaching period. This Copenhagen player made his mark at the hometown team Limby Club. With his all-around midfield performance and devastating left-foot shooting, he was widely believed to be recruited by the national team.

In a difficult situation, Luton coach Terry Westley activated the 205,000 pound termination clause of Johnny Wilstrup's contract. He came to the team in September 1995 and then made his debut in a 0-1 loss to Millwall.

Because Westley was quickly fired, new coach Lenny Lawrence had different ideas about the team's playing style, and Luton fans have never witnessed Johnny get a continuous chance to play. After only starting seven league games, Johnny was loaned to Aarhus Club and completed a permanent transfer in the summer of 1996.

He won the Danish Cup championship medal in 1996, but he still has not been cured a year later due to a knee injury, and he eventually ended his career as a player. After hanging up the boots, Johnny became a physiotherapist at the Frem Club and runs a massage and acupuncture clinic in Copenhagen.
