Manchester United is considering loan on Rashford, refusing to cut salary means he has limited choices this summer
According to the British media Manchester Evening News, Manchester United is considering the possibility of renting Rashford out. Rashford hopes to join the Champions League club and has no interest in high-paying offers from Saudi Arabia or Türkiye. Manchester United sources believe that the possibility of Rashford, which is priced at £40 million, is low.
Inter had tentatively asked about Rashford when he expressed his interest in Hoylen earlier this month, but Inter only considered a loan plan. Manchester United executives expect Rashford to switch to the overseas league this summer. Although Rashford does not rule out joining Premier League clubs, he is reluctant to go to London.
Sources close to Rashford stressed that he has no intention of accepting a salary cut, and the player currently has a weekly salary of £325,000, which will make the number of potential suitors this summer extremely limited. Rashford's contract with Manchester United will only expire in 2028. During the second half of the 2024-25 season, Rashford scored 4 goals in 17 appearances and was later reimbursed due to a hamstring injury.
Manchester United hopes to sell Rashford, Anthony, Sancho and Garnacho, but there are major obstacles to most forwards' transfers. Rashford and Sancho were abandoned by the first team in different seasons, and Sancho's contract expired next year. Garnacho's value may fall after coach Amorin expressed his willingness to leave the team. Amorin directly excluded Garnacho from the roster in the final match against Villa at the end of the season. Anthony's valuation of just under 40 million euros is also prohibitive.
Barcelona has always attracted Rashford, and Paris has expressed interest in the past and met with his brother Dwayne Maynard in August 2022. After that, Paris reorganized its first team and won the Champions League for the first time with a younger and decentralized lineup. Winners Rafinia and Yamal are Barcelona's main players, while Lewandowski is still the core of the forward line, and their contract will expire next year.
