Official: Manchester United appoints Stephen Torpe as youth training director

According to official news, Manchester United Club appointed Stephen Torpe as the youth training director, and he will be fully responsible for all the work of the club's youth training system.

Tolpe previously worked in Brentford, and during this period he led the reconstruction of Brentford's youth training system, including restarting the complete youth training system from U9 to U18. Torpe holds a UEFA A-level license and has nearly 20 years of experience in elite youth training coaching and management. He has been responsible for youth training coaching for all ages at Manchester City and for the basic stage youth training construction at Liverpool.

Torpe said: "It is a great honor to have the opportunity to take charge of Manchester United's Youth Training Academy. The club is entering an exciting new era, and joining is just the right time. I urgently hope to contribute my strength to the continued outstanding youth training tradition here."

"After in-depth exchanges with the management team, I clearly realized that the youth training system has always been the core cornerstone of Manchester United's identity. Our primary goal has always been to cultivate players who can play for the first team and help the team compete for the highest honor."

Torpe will officially perform its duties in the next few months. Current Director Nick Cox will remain in office to ensure a smooth transition and then take over as Everton's technical director.
