Official: Tottenham Stadium will host 5 European Cup matches and has contributed £900 million to London

According to Tottenham’s official website, Tottenham Stadium will host five games of the 2028 European Cup.
UEFA officially announced the 2028 European Cup schedule, which includes 5 games that will be played at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, which was selected as one of the nine host venues for the European Cup in October 2023.
The 2028 European Cup will open at the National Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, on June 9, 2028, and the final will be held at Wembley Stadium on July 9.
Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will host a total of 5 games, including 4 group matches and one knockout round of the top 16, as follows:
June 12, 2028: Game 8 (group stage)
June 15, 2028: Game 17 (group stage)
June 18, 2028: Game 26 (group stage)
June 21, 2028: Game 34 (Group Stage)
June 26, 2028: Game 42 (Top 16 Knockout Round)
The 2028 European Cup is expected to bring up to 3.6 billion pounds (4.1 billion euros) in social and economic benefits to the United Kingdom and Ireland, including creating jobs, promoting regional economic prosperity and tourism revenue from international tourists.
Since opening in April 2019, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and the major events it hosts have had a positive socio-economic impact on London. A study by EY found that Tottenham contributed around £900m of gross output to the London economy, generating an additional £478m of GVA (value added). The report also highlights the following contributions:
Delivering GVA of £344 million to the three boroughs of Haringey, Enfield and Waltham Forest, including £296 million for Haringey.
It is expected that by the 2026-27 season, Tottenham's socio-economic impact will continue to grow, and it is expected to generate 585 million pounds of GVA and bring 4,300 jobs to the local area.
Tottenham has brought 3,700 full-time jobs to the local area, including 2,800 in Haringey, including 1,800 people directly employed by the club, 1,600 people supported by the supply chain, and 300 people brought by indirect effects.
