TA: Arsenal introduces 16-year-old midfielder Oriamvunnada, transfer fee will set Ireland record

TA famous reporter David Ornstein reported that Arsenal introduced 16-year-old midfielder Oriamvunnada from Irish team Shamrock Wandering, and the transfer fee set an Irish record. He will join Arsenal in the form of pre-signing and will officially join in January 2027 (will turn 18 by then).

TA did not disclose the specific amount of this transfer, but said that the transfer fee would break the Irish record. The previous record was set by Tottenham when he introduced Mason Melia from St. Patrick Athletics this year, with a transfer fee of £1.6 million.

TA said that Oriamvunna has completed a physical examination and may sign a contract as early as this week. Ori Anvunner is a right-footed midfielder who usually plays on the left. His skills and physical fitness mean he can play in multiple different positions in the future.

The transfer is the result of Arsenal's three-year establishment of a scouting network and a relationship with the Irish club. Arsenal technical director James Ellis and youth training academy director Merte Sack led the transfer, with Arsenal having a very good relationship with Shamlock Wanderers coach Stephen Bradley (trained by Arsenal youth training academy) and athletic director Stephen McFair.

Oriamvunna has made 15 appearances at Shamlock Rangers and has scored a goal in the FA Cup in Ireland.
