China is trying to promote self-made AI chips to Zhongdong and Southeast Asia

Comprehensive Hong Kong media quoted foreign news reports, and sources pointed out that Chinese technology giant Hua hopes to enter a market led by the US chip giant NVIDIA (Nvidia) in order to be trying to export a small amount of artificial intelligence (AI) chips to Central and Southeast Asia.

People familiar with the matter revealed that China has recently contacted potential customers of the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia and Thailand to promote its older model Ascend 910B AI chip.

Sources said that the number of 910B chips currently provided by China is "low Thousand Level", but the source pointed out that customers in the United Arab Emirates are not interested in China's chips, and the situation of Thai customers is unclear. However, in order to hint to the other party, the company only has thousands of chips to provide for the other party.

In order to attract customers, Hua also promotes its self-developed AI remote control system CloudMatrix 384 to customers. Although it has not granted export permission from the Chinese government, the system is constructed with a higher-level Ascend 910C chip. However, due to limited supply, China has not planned to export 910C overseas and reserved it first to domestic Chinese companies that cannot obtain US top spindle chips.
