The first independent development of Japan investment project, the Tokyo Hotel under Fraser International opened

Trust announced the news on Tuesday (July 15) that this hotel in Ginza, Tokyo, named YOTEL Tokyo Ginza, marks an important step in the trust’s investment strategy in its core Asian portal city.
In addition, the Trust's Modena by Fraser Shenzhen, located in Luohu District, Shenzhen, China, was opened in March this year and is expected to officially open the fourth season. The project has a total of 325 units, focusing on flexible apartment types and shared spaces. The target customer base is urban professionals, cross-border commuters and foreign residents.
YOTEL Tokyo Ginza brings together our investment, development and asset management capabilities to enable us to respond quickly to market dynamics. Japan is our long-term strategic market and is honored to launch a unique industry to meet the changing preferences of today’s modern travelers.”
Frasers Hospitality Trust's first independent development project in Japan officially opened. The hotel has 244 rooms, and the occupancy rate reaches more than 70% during the trial operation period.
The hotel adopts space-saving design and technological elements, with rooms ranging from 14 to 18 square meters, aiming to increase the return per unit area. It is close to Tokyo's Shimbashi Station and the bustling commercial area, and is within walking distance of Ginza's shopping center.
Fashion International Trust said that the project demonstrates the strength of the investment engine in its "dual-engine" strategy and will help expand market penetration in key cities. The Trust also revealed that Japan and China are the cornerstone markets of North Asia's strategy.
The new hotel is built in collaboration with Fraser International Trust and British hotel brand YOTEL. The hotel development plan experienced the COVID-19 epidemic and was finally completed ahead of schedule. It welcomed the first batch of guests in December last year and officially opened in June this year.
