Distinguishing healthy foods, the green ones know

Modern people value health, and the relevant products sold on the market that are said to be able to promote health are full of attention, making people dazzled and wondered how to buy them. However, in fact, the Ministry of Welfare has long stipulated that there are 463 "healthy foods" that are approved to promote health benefits. The others can only be regarded as "healthy foods", similar to general foods. Any health benefits cannot be declared according to law. Only with a small green seal on the packaging is a health food that is authorized to apply for.
Tainan Municipal Pharmacy Association pointed out that whether you are using healthy foods or health foods, if you are taking medicine for a long time, you should still pay attention to whether you may have interactive works with the medicine, which will affect the efficacy of the medicine. At the same time, you should also use it according to the doses indicated. Too much may still cause harm to the body.
The guild pointed out that in 1999, the "Healthy Food Management Act" was implemented, defining healthy food as "foods with health care effects, and marked or advertised that they have the effect, and must have quality scientific evidence, not for the purpose of treating and correcting human diseases." Only healthy foods with permission to apply for can be claimed to have health care effects. You can see a national small green logo on the packaging.
Currently, through a total of 463 items obtained for health food, people can go to the Food and Drug Administration of the Ministry of Health and Welfare to check through the official website of the Health and Welfare Data.
Wu Zhenming, chairman of Tainan Pharmacy Association, reminded that healthy foods and health foods cannot be eaten as medicine. If you have a condition, you still need to treat them. Do not expect healthy foods to be effective as soon as you take them. Health products are not magical medicines. If you are worried about interaction with drugs, you can ask the pharmacy in the community.
